Improving Function After A Stroke

A 90-year-old woman suffered a stroke, and was left with weakness in her right arm, and she was unable to make a fist, pronate her forearm, or touch her thumb and index finger together. Her doctors said there was no more they could do for her, so her son brought her to our office.

After her third laser therapy session her grip was about 60% better, and she was able to pronate her forearm and touch her thumb and index finger together. Her son reports that she now practices making a fist on her own.

Research shows that low level laser therapy (AKA photobiomodulation) is indicated for healing neurons, including within the brain. Daily in our practice we are seeing with our very own eyes the research being validated, sometimes more so than we had imagined.

Laser Helps Sinus Pain

Laser therapy has numerous applications. Here's one patient's story about how it has helped with sinus problems.

Recently, I began receiving cold laser treatments for my sinuses.  For years, I have experienced headaches and pain from the inflammation, having to sleep at night propped up on two pillows and snoring to a considerable degree.  Now, the snoring is greatly reduced, I’m down to one pillow and actually feeling no pain at times.  More improvement to come, I’m sure.     --Pat Stimac
